Community Handbook: University Services
Custodial and Maintenance (Operated by SSC)
Custodial and maintenance services within the residential communities are provided through SSC. Custodial staff are responsible for routine cleaning of shared community spaces, including community bathrooms, lounges, laundry rooms, and hallways. Residents are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their assigned room, apartment, bathroom, and kitchen areas, as well as providing any personal cleaning supplies needed.
Maintenance staff are responsible for addressing facility repairs and maintenance concerns within residence halls and apartments. Residents should report all maintenance needs through the work order process available through their myLeo Housing Portal. Residents are not permitted to make repairs or alterations to University Housing spaces.
For maintenance concerns involving resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, grounds, lounges, or other University facilities, residents should submit a work order as soon as possible. For urgent maintenance issues that occur after normal business hours or on weekends, residents should contact the Resident Assistant (RA) on Duty for their assigned residential community.
Emergency maintenance concerns may include, but are not limited to, active water leaks, broken windows or doors that prevent a space from being secured, a non-functioning toilet in a unit with only one bathroom, or a lack of hot water. In the event of smoke or fire, residents should call 911 immediately.
Dining
Residents are required to have a meal plan while living in University Housing. Campus dining services are operated by Sodexo and provide a variety of dining options throughout campus.
Residents can review available meal plan options, dining locations, hours of operation, and additional dining information here.

Mail Services
Residents should utilize East Texas A&M University Mail Services for all mail and package needs while living on campus. Residence halls are not able to receive individual mail deliveries; therefore, residents should follow the procedures established by Campus Mail Services for receiving mail and packages.

Residents with questions regarding mail and package services should contact Mail Services for assistance.
Lion Card Access Office
Residents are required to always have their Lion Card/Mobile Credentials available while living on campus. Lion Card/Mobile Credentials provide access to residential buildings and, in some communities, individual rooms.
Residents should report lost or damaged Lion Cards immediately and may be required to purchase a replacement card. If assistance is needed outside of regular business hours, residents should contact their community front desk for support with temporary access.
For information regarding Lion Card services, mobile credentials, and setup instructions, please visit the Lion Card Office.
