Community Handbook: Involvement Opportunities
Within Residential Living and Learning, there are several opportunities to become involved and gain valuable experiences that will truly impact your collegiate career and enhance your overall residential experience. Below are a few of the opportunities that we provide.
Become a Student Staff Member
Serving as a RLL student staff member provides valuable opportunities for leadership development, professional growth, and building connections within the residential community.
RLL student staff members serve in a variety of roles, including Customer Service Assistants (CSAs), Desk Assistants (DAs), Graduate Assistants (GAs), Marketing Assistants (MAs), Operations Assistants (OAs), and Resident Assistants (RAs). Student staff members serve as peer educators, community builders, and resources for residents while helping create a safe and supportive living environment. Each role receives training to assist residents, respond to concerns, and support the overall residential experience.
Students interested in joining the RLL student staff team may contact [email protected] for additional information.
Hall Programming
RLL host a variety of programs and events throughout the academic year to enhance the residential experience. These programs provide residents with opportunities to build connections with others in their residential community, develop relationships with peers, and engage with campus resources.
Residents are encouraged to participate in hall programming and are welcome to share ideas, provide feedback, or assist with planning events. Students interested in getting involved should contact their Resident Assistant (RA) or Community Director (CD).
