Students at East Texas A&M Have the Following Rights

To request a copy of your health care records, please contact the Counseling Center at 903.886.5145 during business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed 12-1 p.m.). A Counseling Center administrator will contact you to discuss your request. A written and completed Authorization for Release of Information form and valid identification are required.

Counseling Center clinicians are licensed through the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC). If you have questions about a clinician's license or wish to report a concern, you may contact BHEC.

If you have concerns about compliance with health privacy laws, you may file a consumer complaint as described by Texas Health & Safety Code ยง181.103. Complaints can be submitted through the Texas Office of the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.
