The Next Step Senior Scholarship is a one-time $1000 non-competitive scholarship available for new graduate students receiving their bachelor's degree from East Texas A&M University.
In order to be awarded the Next Step Senior Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Receive your bachelor’s degree from East Texas A&M in the Summer 2026 semester. The Graduate School will work with the Graduation Office to verify that you have met all requirements to receive your Bachelor's degree and have your degree awarded.
- Apply for and gain admission to East Texas A&M graduate program in the Fall 2026 semester. Full, conditional, provisional or non-degree admission statuses are eligible to receive the Next Step Senior Scholarship.
- Enroll in your first semester of graduate coursework, and
- Enroll in a minimum of 6 graduate semester credit hours in the Fall 2026 semester.
No scholarship is required. Awards will be posted to your student account when all above requirements are met and verified. You will be notified if you are awarded a Next Step Senior Scholarship and your account will be credited the appropriate amount. If you are receiving financial aid during the Fall 2026 semester, there may be a need to adjust your total financial aid package.
