Jared Lantzy Adjunct Instructor of Music in Trombone

Jared Lantzy is the former bass trombonist of the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra, appointed by Maestro Andreas Delfs in 2008. While there, he served as a guest lecturer in Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, and as a trombone lecturer at BYU–Hawai'i in Lā‘ie.
Jared earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas Tech University and his Master of Arts in Music from DePaul University in 2005 and 2007, respectively. His primary teachers include Charlie Vernon, Don Lucas, Floyd Cooley and Mark Fisher. Before relocating to the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, Mr. Lantzy held a one-year contract with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed with numerous ensembles across the country including the St. Louis Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Oregon Bach Festival, New Mexico Symphony, Roswell Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Dallas Winds, Royal Hawaiian Band and most of the major symphonic ensembles in the State of Texas.
Mr. Lantzy resides in Fort Worth with his wife and their four sons. Jared is a regular member of the ROCO Brass Quintet in Houston and performs frequently with the Waco Symphony and the Wichita Falls Symphony. He is also a member of the NTX4 Trombone Quartet, the proprietor of Edwards House DFW and an Edwards Instruments Performing Artist.
