Dr. Amy Canchola, DMA is an accomplished vocalist and dedicated educator whose work centers on promoting the music of Latina women and Mexican composers. In summer 2025, she joined a panel presenting research on Building Global Connections for Young Singers Through Singing and Song at the International Congress of Voice Teachers Convention in Toronto; taught at the Coastal Carolina University Group Voice Intensive; and attended the Acoustics of Vocal Pedagogy Workshop at Stetson University. As a founding member of Duo Atesorado, she actively explores and celebrates diverse musical traditions, commissioning and performing new works for voice and guitar by Mexican women.

A passionate teacher, Dr. Canchola is committed to nurturing her students' artistic and personal growth both on and off the stage. She continually expands her expertise in voice pedagogy, having recently participated in the NATS Science-Informed Pedagogy Institute and several other professional development programs. In recognition of her innovative teaching, she is a Pan-American Vocology Association Recognized Vocologist and was awarded the 2023 NATS Clifton Ware Group-Voice Pedagogy Award.
