Fall Re-Registration
Re-Registration through ManeSync is required at the start of each Fall and Spring semester to remain active and recognized.
Failure to re-register by the deadline will result in the organization being marked inactive and requiring reapplication as a new organization to regain recognition. Additionally, organizations that will have their ManeSync page unpublished until they contact the Assistant Director of Involvement to restore their page and complete re-registration.
Re-registration (July-Sept) requires the following:
- Complete the Re-Registration Process on ManeSync
- Update membership roster
- Upload Constitution
- Review and confirm Officers, members and advisors
- Update any important organization details
- Risk Management Training
- At least two (2) officers must attend the training once a year.Topics include hazing, alcohol and drug policies, travel safety, sexual misconduct prevention, event risk management, and disability accommodations.Organizations must share the training information with their full membership.
- Failure to comply will result in loss of active status until training is completed.
- In accordance with Texas Education Code Section 51.9361, all registered student organizations at public universities must complete annual Risk Management Training provided by the university.
- Overdose awareness and appropriate response training
- In compliance with Texas Education Code § 51.9362, East Texas A&M University requires that all student organization officers participate in overdose awareness and appropriate response training as part of their mandatory trainings.
- Organizations must meet all Recognized Student Organization requirements to receive approval.
- At least two (2) officers must attend the training once a year.Organizations must share the training information with their full membership
- Failure to comply will result in loss of active status until training is completed.
- Re-registration will be sent back for modifications if requirements are not met.
Spring Refresh
Spring re-registration process opens in December and must be completed by the end of January.
Spring Refresh requires the following information is confirmed from the previous semester or updated:
- Membership roster
- Constitution
- Review and confirm Officers, members and advisors
- Update any important organization details

How can my organization request funding for events or travel?
Your organization may be eligible to request funding through the Student Organization Allocation Committee (SOAC). Travel-related funding has specific requirements. The most updated information for SOAC can always be found in the ManeSync homepage.
Can student organizations fundraise?
Yes! Student organizations are allowed to host fundraisers; however, all fundraising activities must follow University policies and State law.
Can we use the university’s logo in our organization’s branding?
Student organizations must follow university branding guidelines when using logos or other official marks. Check with the Office of Student Engagement for approved logo usage.
Does our student organization need a faculty/staff advisor?
Yes, every student organization must have an advisor who is a full-time faculty or staff member at East Texas A&M University.
How can we recruit new members for our organization?
Organizations can participate in involvement fairs, promote events on ManeSync and social media, and collaborate with other student groups to attract new members.
Can non-students be members of our organization?
Only currently enrolled students can be official members of a registered student organization. However, alumni, faculty, or community members may be involved in a limited capacity, depending on the organization’s constitution.
