  • First enrolled at a Texas public institution of higher education in Fall 1997 or later
  • Receiving their first baccalaureate degree from a Texas public university

    • Repeated courses

How Do I Apply for a Rebate?

Students must apply for the tuition rebate before receiving their baccalaureate degree, using forms provided by the university. Be sure to keep the Registrar's Office informed of any changes to your mailing address for at least 60 days after graduation.

The rebate amount will be reduced by any outstanding student loan, including emergency loans, owed to or guaranteed by the State of Texas. If multiple loans exist, the student may direct how the rebate is applied. Otherwise, the rebate will be used to pay down the loan with the highest interest rate first.

By submitting the tuition rebate application, the student authorizes East Texas A&M University to verify enrollment and attempted hours at all Texas public colleges and universities through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
