Educator Certification and Academic Services Guide: Student
The Educator Portal is an electronic database used by teacher candidates to provide evidence that they have mastered the Texas Education Agency standards for the profession. Students maintain their program requirements and store their assessed coursework, field experience documents, certification exams, applications, and so much more.
- Log in to the Educator Portal to set up your student account. You must use your university credentials to log in to the Educator Portal student account.
Applying for Program Admission
A student must be admitted to the Undergraduate Educator Preparation Program (EPP) to be approved to enroll in specialization coursework, as indicated on the student’s DegreeWorks. The admission application process is completed online through the Educator Portal and applications are reviewed weekly by the Certification Office. Since admission to the EPP is required for enrollment in specialization coursework, students are encouraged to submit their application well in advance to allow sufficient time for review and processing.
If you have any questions about the application process or the status of your application, please email [email protected].
If you have questions about readiness to apply for program admission, contact your academic advisor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
