Curriculum
At East Texas A&M, our program aims to prepare you for advanced management positions requiring analytical and strategic leadership skills. Coursework is carefully crafted to train you to address complex economic, ethical and environmental challenges in today’s dynamic business world.
Credit Hours
The MBA with a minor requires a total of 30 to 33 semester hours, including 18 to 21 hours of core coursework and a minimum of 12 hours in your chosen minor area. This program can be completed in as little as 18 months, enabling you to advance your education and career efficiently.
Residency
This graduate program holds residency requirements, which you may satisfy in one of two ways:
- Serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GAT) or Graduate Research Assistant (GAR) for at least one academic year while completing designated MBA coursework.
- Take 4 courses per year and maintain a portfolio of “residency activities” that contribute to professional development in your chosen area of focus prior to completing the comprehensive exam.

In the Agribusiness Graduate Certificate program, you'll explore key concepts in agricultural economics, finance, marketing, and management.
