Submissions
Preparing Your Submission
Note: The 16th HRC is now closed to new submissions.
Each paper or workshop submission requires:
- author information
- a title
- an abstract with a maximum of 250 words
- references and examples (optional), each limited to 200 words
Panel submissions should prepare a document that includes a list of each author, along with the corresponding title and abstract for each paper in your panel.
Recording Presentations
If you are giving a live paper or workshop presentation, you will be asked whether we may record your session for the purpose of sharing it publicly on our HRC YouTube channel after the conference. Declining to be recorded will not affect the consideration of your proposal for the conference. Please note that all pre-recorded paper and panel presentations are shared publicly by default. If you do not wish your session to be shared publicly, please do not submit a panel or pre-recorded paper presentation.
Call for Papers
Papers in any academic discipline are welcome. Non-academic presentations and commercial presentations/demonstrations should be submitted as workshops.
The submission of abstracts is now open. You can submit abstracts for full papers, panels and workshops. Details are provided below for each category. You are allowed one first authored submission and one non-first authored submission.
- Live Full Papers – 20-minute live presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion and Q&A session.
- Pre-Recorded Full Papers – 20-minute pre-recorded presentation. The discussion and Q&A format is still being finalized, but this option will likely allow participants to submit questions in advance via the YouTube comment section.
- Panels – Pre-recorded panel presentations uploaded one week prior to the conference, followed by a live Q&A session during the conference.
- Group of 3 panel presentations – Three 20-minute pre-recorded panel presentations with a 30-minute live Q&A session during the conference.
- Group of 6 panel presentations – Six 20-minute pre-recorded panel presentations with a 60-minute live Q&A session during the conference.
- Workshops – 90-minute live session.
