Graduation Information

Graduation Information:Introduction

Welcome to the East Texas A&M University graduation site!

We’re excited to assist you in this stage of your journey with the University.

THE GRADUATION APPLICATION FOR FALL 2025 WILL BE OPEN FROM AUGUST 20, 2025 – SEPTEMBER 26, 2025.
THE FALL APPLICATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO PLAN TO FINISH THEIR DEGREE REQUIREMENTS DURING THE AUGUST MINI OR THE FALL 2025 SEMESTER REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THEY PLAN TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY.

The application can be accessed through your myLEO portal under the APPS tab. Complete the application as accurately and completely as possible. You will receive a confirmation email after you submit it. Once the deadline to apply has passed, the icon will no longer work. Please read the application carefully and thoroughly as you complete it.

There is a non-refundable $40 graduation application fee, which does not include the cost of your cap and gown (that will need to be purchased separately). The $40 fee will be added to your student account and must be paid in order to receive your diploma at the end of the semester. You can pay the fee by contacting Student Accounts at 903.886.5044 or through your myLEO account in the LeoPay portal. Students who do not graduate in the semester in which they apply, will need to reapply and will be assessed an additional $40. For summer graduates, the fee will not appear on your account until summer II begins.

Information that auto-fills into your graduation application (your name, address, degree) is taken directly from our database, so if it is incorrect or you need to make changes, please email [email protected]. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been received. Please do not cancel your application without emailing us first.

Important Notes

The graduation office communicates with students via LeoMail regarding graduation throughout the semester. Please make sure you read all emails from us thoroughly.

If you intend to “walk” in the ceremony, you are expected to do so in the same semester that you plan to graduate. We do not allow students to walk in an earlier or later semester.

Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee that your degree will be conferred.

Undergraduates and graduates should email [email protected] for any general graduation related questions.

Master’s students should email [email protected] for questions specifically related to graduate level courses and DegreeWorks issues.

Please include your CWID on all correspondence.
