How Do I Get Started?
If you have not already done so, complete the Request Information form. You will be connected with your enrollment specialist, who can answer your questions. When you’re ready, go ahead and follow the steps below to apply.
Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, you must first meet the following criteria.
- GPA minimum 2.5
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- To be eligible for the Technology Leadership graduate certificate program, you must be admitted to the Graduate School. Coursework must be completed at East Texas A&M with a minimum 3.0 GPA in all courses used for this certificate. No substitutions.
- You must submit a Completion of Certificate Request while taking your final graduate certificate courses.
Admission Process
- Create an account or login if you already have one
- Complete your profile section first once you log into your account
- Select “School Search” and select East Texas A&M
- Choose the semester you wish to begin
- Select “Technology Leadership, Graduate Certificate” as your “Program.”
- Pay the $50 application fee.
Wait to receive an application confirmation email before proceeding to the next step.
- Within two business days of your application, the Graduate School will send a confirmation email to the personal email account you used for ApplyTexas.
Provisional Status
After you submit your application, you may be granted provisional status, which means you can enroll in one semester of courses. You will not be eligible for financial aid until you submit all of your documents and are accepted into the program.

Contact your previous institution(s) and request that they send your official transcripts to your graduate coordinator.
- We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.
- If your transcripts are already on file with the Graduate School or if your degree was awarded by East Texas A&M University, you do not need to submit new transcripts.

- Apply for scholarships and graduate assistantships once you are admitted.
- Apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA and sending it to school code 003565.
- Contact your financial aid advisor with any questions.

If you are admitted to the Graduate Certificate program, but not concurrently admitted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program, you will need to contact the program coordinator, Jason Lee Davis, or your graduate enrollment specialist, Lora Gibson, for permits to enroll in the required courses. The certificate courses that are also core courses in the TMGT master's program have TMGT 595 as a pre-/co-requisite course requirement and a permit must be manually entered for you for each course to override this requirement and enable your registration. If you are already accepted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program and have already registered for or taken TMGT 595, you do not need to request specific permits to register for these courses.
