Offered through the technology management program at East Texas A&M, the organizational planning graduate certificate highlights your completion of a 12-semester-credit-hour program of graduate-level courses focused on strategic planning in organizations within the broader field of technology management. This certificate is open to graduate students in any major or exclusive of a major declaration. Courses for the certificate are offered fully online and can be completed in as few as two semesters.

How Do I Get Started?

If you have not already done so, complete the Request Information form. You will be connected with your enrollment specialist, who can answer your questions. When you’re ready, go ahead and follow the steps below to apply.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission, you must first meet the following criteria.

  • GPA minimum 2.5
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Admission Process

  • To be eligible for the Organizational Planning graduate certificate program, you must be admitted to the Graduate School. Coursework must be completed at East Texas A&M with a minimum 3.0 GPA in all courses used for this certificate. No substitutions.

Submit Application

  • Create an account or login if you already have one
  • Complete your profile section first once you log into your account
  • Select “School Search” and select East Texas A&M
  • Choose the semester you wish to begin
  • Select “Organization Development, Graduate Certificate” as your “Program.”
  • Pay the $50 application fee.

Wait to receive an application confirmation email before proceeding to the next step.

  • Within two business days of your application, the Graduate School will send a confirmation email to the personal email account you used for ApplyTexas.

Provisional Status

After you submit your application, you may be granted provisional status, which means you can enroll in one semester of courses. You will not be eligible for financial aid until you submit all of your documents and are accepted into the program.

Submit the following documents to your graduate coordinator after you receive an application confirmation email.

Your Graduate Coordinator

Contact your previous institution(s) and request that they send your official transcripts to your graduate coordinator.

  • We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.

All international transcripts must be evaluated and the evaluation submitted to the Graduate School.

We accept evaluations sent directly from the following Agencies.

  • If a normal evaluation is submitted, official original transcripts with all marksheets will still need to be submitted.
  • If a WES ICAP or equivalent is submitted, we will not need the official transcripts to be submitted separately.

  • If your transcripts are already on file with the Graduate School or if your degree was awarded by this university, you do not need to submit new transcripts.

  • Once an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email to your student email account at myLeo > Apps > Leomail.

  • Apply for scholarships and graduate assistantships once you are admitted.
  • Apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA and sending it to school code 003565.
  • Contact your financial aid advisor with any questions.

Once registration opens and you are eligible to enroll, your graduate enrollment specialist is here to help you complete registration.

If you are admitted to the Graduate Certificate program, but not concurrently admitted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program, you will need to contact the program coordinator, Jason Lee Davis, or your graduate enrollment specialist, Lora Gibson for permits to enroll in the required courses. The certificate courses that are also core courses in the TMGT master's program have TMGT 595 as a pre-/co-requisite course requirement and a permit must be manually entered for you for each course to override this requirement and enable your registration. If you are already accepted into the M.S. in Technology Management degree program and have already registered for or taken TMGT 595, you do not need to request specific permits to register for these courses.

Contact your program coordinator for any questions regarding your certificate plan, or contact your graduate enrollment specialist if you have any questions regarding registration.
