Curriculum
This comprehensive 30-semester-hour program is designed to equip you with advanced managerial skills and knowledge. Curriculum includes a foundation course in business concepts and tools, which may be waived for those with appropriate undergraduate coursework. Meanwhile, our research component offers a choice between management and applied business research methods. Together, you’ll prepare for leadership roles across various industries by developing a comprehensive understanding of management principles and practices.

Auditing and Forensic Accounting Graduate Certificate
The graduate certificate in Auditing and Forensic Accounting will equip students to gain certifications offered by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). The twelve semester hours (4 courses) of coursework is eligible to meet requirements for the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program should a student wish to pursue it. ACCT 527 & ACCT 562 are in the core curriculum and the remaining courses would meet electives for the MSA.
Business Analytics Graduate Certificate
The Business Analytics Graduate Certificate is a 12 semester hour (4 courses) certificate. All courses are currently being taught and eligible to help meet the requirements for the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MS-BUSA) program.
Economics of U.S. Healthcare Graduate Certificate
A 4-course certificate that provides a better understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and prepares the students for careers as healthcare executives. At the end of the MGT 591 course, the students will receive the Six Sigma Green Belt certification which is a highly desirable qualification in healthcare that focuses on data analysis in Excel.
Operational Excellence Graduate Certificate
The purpose of this certificate is to develop a graduate-level working knowledge of important tools (e.g., Six Sigma and project management software) for successful application in supply chain and project management. By successfully completing the certificate, you will be awarded an Operational Excellence Certificate from East Texas A&M, and Green Belt Six Sigma certificate. All the courses in the Operational Excellence Certificate Program may be applied toward a Master of Science (MS) in our Management degree program and some of the courses may be applied to other graduate business degrees.
Tax Accounting Graduate Certificate
The Tax Accounting Graduate Certificate is a 12 semester hour (4 course) program. The certificate may be applied to the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program with two of the courses ACCT 538 & ACCT 540 required as part of the core and advanced core.

If you have not already done so, complete the Request Information form. You will be connected with your enrollment specialist, who can answer your questions. When you’re ready, go ahead and follow the steps below to apply.
Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, you must first meet the following criteria.
- GPA minimum 2.5
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Admission Process

- Create an account or login if you already have one
- Complete your profile section first once you log into your account
- Select “School Search” and select East Texas A&M
- Choose the semester you wish to begin
- Select “Management, MS” as your “Program.”
- Pay the $50 application fee.
Wait to receive an application confirmation email before proceeding to the next step.
- Within two business days of your application, the Graduate School will send a confirmation email to the personal email account you used for ApplyTexas.
Submit the following documents after you receive an application confirmation email.
- Upload your documents at myLeo > Apps > Check Admissions Application Status & Test Scores or email your documents to your graduate coordinator unless otherwise specified below.
Your Graduate Coordinator
Contact your previous institution(s) and request that they send your official transcripts to your graduate coordinator.
- We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.
All international transcripts must be evaluated and the evaluation submitted to the Graduate School.
We accepts evaluations sent directly from the following Agencies.
- If a normal evaluation is submitted, official original transcripts with all marksheets will still need to be submitted.
- If a WES ICAP or equivalent is submitted, we will not need the official transcripts to be submitted separately.
To be considered for admission, one of the following is required
- a bachelor's degree with an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher

Describe your preparation for graduate work and your academic interests and goals in no more than 500 words.
Submit a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) which includes your academic and professional history and achievements.
Submit a sample of your writing that contains:
- a one or two pieces of your academic prose (no more than 10 pages total) and
- a two-page statement of your background, interests and goals as they relate to your graduate work in English.
Request two signed letters of recommendation, on letterhead, from professionals who can attest to your goals and ability to succeed in the program. Those individuals should:
- Email the letter to your graduate coordinator or
- Send the letter to you. Then, you will utilize the upload system: myLeo > Apps > Check Admissions Application Status & Test Scores
If your overall undergraduate GPA (on conferred bachelor's degree) is a 2.5 GPA or less on a 4.0 scale, you must submit a general GRE.

- Once an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email to your student email account at myLeo > Apps > Leomail.
- Apply for scholarships and graduate assistantships once you are admitted.
- Apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA and sending it to school code 003565.
- Contact your financial aid advisor with any questions.
