Robin Wheat serves as a Student Career Navigator in Student Career Preparedness at East Texas A&M University. She works closely with students to explore career pathways, develop professional skills and connect academic experiences to meaningful career opportunities. Through individualized career coaching, workshops and resource development, she helps students navigate career decisions with confidence and purpose.
Robin brings more than a decade of experience in education, student development and leadership. Prior to joining East Texas A&M University, she served as an English teacher, librarian, theatre director and yearbook advisor, where she mentored students, developed engaging learning experiences and fostered creativity, communication and academic success. Her diverse professional background informs her holistic approach to supporting students as they identify strengths, clarify goals and prepare for life after graduation.
She earned a Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in College Student Affairs from East Texas A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University-Commerce (now called East Texas A&M University). Robin is an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), The Career Leadership Collective (CLC), and the Metroplex Area Consortium of Career Centers (MAC3), where she serves as Webmaster.
Robin is passionate about empowering students to discover their potential, build career readiness skills and successfully transition from college to career.
