Lenora graduated from Quinlan Ford High School in 2016 where she participated in the Dual Credit program and received her associates degree that same year. Next, she and her brother both attended East Texas A&M University (formerly Texas A&M University-Commerce), and they are the first in their family to have completed bachelor's degrees. Lenora originally started at the university as a music education major, but transitioned to Industrial Engineering after realizing she wanted a career where she could refine her analytical and problem-solving skills. Since then, she has had a paper published in American Society of Engineering Management journal and begun a successful career.

In her current role as Senior Associate Quality Engineer at L3Harris, Lenora is responsible for developing and managing Corrective Action Plans based on robust root cause analyses, facilitating cross-functional teams to drive defect reduction, and conducting data analysis to identify defect trends and monitor Key Performance Indicators for projects that are currently in development.

A conversation with Lenora

Describe a project you are working on or have completed.

I am currently learning SQL and PowerBI as part of my long-term project to transition site quality metrics from a manual effort to an automated system. So far, I have created 7+ dashboards to provide analytics of various metrics.

Tell us about an accomplishment you are proud of.

My senior year at ETAMU, Dr. Khorasani encouraged my capstone team to submit our project as an abstract to the American Society of Engineering Management. With Dr. Khorasani's guidance through the project as well as the publication process, we were able to expand upon our abstract and publish our research in May 2023.
