ETAMU Signs Articulation Agreement to Allow a Seamless Transition for Clarendon College Ag Students
East Texas A&M University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) recently signed an articulation agreement with Clarendon College, allowing students to transfer more easily to the Agribusiness degree program at ETAMU.
The agreement sees CASNR team up with Clarendon’s Ranch and Feedlot Operations (RFO) program to provide a clear, easy path for these Clarendon students to earn a bachelor’s degree at East Texas A&M. Clarendon’s RFO is recognized as a top program for students studying to become ranch and feedlot managers.
“It has traditionally been difficult for these students to transition to a B.S. degree and maintain credit hours,” said Dr. Byron Housewright, associate dean of operations for CASNR. “This is an important relationship as CASNR seeks to get the best transfer students possible and move forward with our focus on ranching and cow/calf production.”
CASNR Dean Dr. Bryan Rank, himself a graduate of Clarendon’s RFO program, touted the benefits to future Lion students.
“As an alum of the Ranch and Feedlot Operations program, I am excited to have this agreement with Clarendon College to streamline the transfer process for students who choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree,” Rank said. “The Clarendon College RFO program is one of the top ranch management programs in the country. Even as CASNR Dean, I lean on the education I received at Clarendon regularly.”
Founded in 1898 in Donley County, Texas, Clarendon College offers 29 majors and currently serves around 1,500 students.
