Next Step Scholarship
Next Step Scholarship Now Open for Fall 2025 East Texas A&M Graduates!
- Next Step Senior Scholarship – The Next Step Senior Scholarship is a one-time $1000 non-competitive scholarship available for new graduate students. You must have received your bachelor’s degree from East Texas A&M one semester prior to graduate admissions. For more details, please review the link.
- Next Step Doctoral Scholarship – The Next Step Doctoral Scholarship is a one-time $1000 non-competitive scholarship available for new fully admitted doctoral students. You must have received your graduate degree from East Texas A&M one semester prior to doctoral admissions. For more details, please review the link.

Fellowships
Summer Thesis/Dissertation Fellowship – The Graduate School has limited funds to support summer fellowships on a competitive basis for master’s, specialist and doctoral students who are in the final stage of completing their thesis or dissertation. These fellowships are for students who plan to spend the majority of the summer completing their thesis or dissertation and plan to graduate at the end of the summer or fall semester.
Grants
Texas Graduate Tuition Set-Aside Grants
Quick Start Grant – The Quick Start Grant is a renewable $250 or $500 grant for East Texas A&M graduate students employed by school districts, community colleges, or Texas cities or counties.
Stop-out Grant – The Stop-out Grant is a one-time $500 grant for East Texas A&M graduate students who have stopped out of their graduate program for one year or more and are returning to complete their graduate coursework.
TRIO Grant – The TRIO Grant is a renewable $250 or $500 grant for East Texas A&M graduate students who were members of a TRIO program.
