Seth Compton is a lifelong native of Commerce, Texas, who attended public schools in town before arriving at East Texas A&M. After graduating, he joined the IT department on campus. After his years at the university, Compton joined L3Harris in Greenville as a technology specialist from 2016-2023. He met his husband, Justin, in 2010, and they married five years later. They recently moved to North Hopkins County to live on the same acreage as Seth’s parents, where they plan to build a house and remain the true locals they are!

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

My husband and I are both avid video game players. I’m a particular enthusiast for tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. That hobby has helped me make friends with people all over the United States, Canada, and as far away as Germany! We also spend a lot of time spoiling our four rescue pets (two dogs and two cats)!

What is your favorite spot in Commerce?

Kim’s Donuts are amazing! I’ve gone there for breakfast since high school, and no matter where else I’ve tried, I’ve never had a better donut. If you visit or live in Commerce and don’t go to Kim’s, you are missing out!
