Eric Weeks was born, raised and is still living in rural Texas. The small town of Dodd City has always been and will forever be my home. He grew up with a lot of family nearby and would not change that for anything. He married my high school sweetheart, Candace, and raised three kids who just keep our hearts full. Candace and Eric both graduated from ETAMU on the same day, same service. She navigated the employment road until recently, landing the job as Director of Rehabilitation at the Clyde Cosper Texas State Veterans home in Bonham, TX. Eric started his full-time professional work career at ETAMU and made several turns, but he has found his way back!

A conversation with Eric

What's an accomplishment that you're especially proud of, and why?

Raising three kids who are productive in our society. All three are not afraid to work and understand that there is no easy path to anything worth having.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself or your experience at East Texas A&M?

It is exciting to be part of a four (maybe 5) generation family of ETAMU!!! ETAMU has not only provided a higher education to many of my family members, but has also helped shape the very people we are by providing employment and the ability to make lifelong friends along the way.
