Quick Start Grant
Funding Your Future
Start your graduate program in Spring 2026 and lock in a renewable $250 or $500 grant every semester you stay enrolled as a graduate student at East Texas A&M.
Qualification Requirements
Simply apply to East Texas A&M University and gain full, conditional admission to a master's and specialist program. The grant will automatically be applied to your account after the twelfth class day.
Award Values Based on Credit Hours
Students enrolled in at least three hours of graduate coursework at the beginning of the new semester (spring, summer and fall) are eligible for a $250 grant.
Students enrolled in 6 or more hours at the beginning of the new semester (spring, summer and fall) are eligible for a $500 grant.
Award timing
- Eligible recipients will receive grant awards after the twelfth class day of the Fall and Spring semesters and after the 4th class day of the Summer semesters.
Renewal
The Quick Start Grant is renewable on a semester-by-semester basis, provided you remain continuously enrolled and funds are available.
Grant awards are issued after the first class day of each spring, summer, and fall semester. Funds are limited and will be distributed until they are depleted. Not all applicants will receive an award.
Eligibility
You may qualify for this renewable $250–$500 grant if you are a new master's student beginning your program in Spring 2026 and meet the following requirements.
New master's student starting in Spring 2026
- Must be pursuing a master's degree.
- Must have completed a bachelor's degree by the time of enrollment.
- You will be automatically enrolled in the initiative upon admission and enrollment.
Ongoing student requirements
- Must maintain continuous enrollment.
- Must remain in good academic standing.
Program limitations
- Not available for students in 10K master's programs, 12K programs, or dual credit.
- Domestic students only.
