Quick Start Grant

Funding Your Future

This renewable grant, available in amounts of $250 or $500, is open to new graduate students at East Texas A&M who start their coursework at the beginning of each new semester. Eligible applicants must be employed by a Texas school district, community college, city, county, or be part of the TRIO program.

Qualification Requirements

  • Apply and gain full, conditional, or non-degree admission to a master's, specialist, doctoral, graduate certificate or professional certification program at East Texas A&M
  • Complete and submit the Quick Start Application.

Award Values Based on Credit Hours

  • Students enrolled in at least three hours of graduate coursework at the beginning of the new semester (spring, summer and fall) are eligible for a $250 grant.
  • Students enrolled in 6 or more hours at the beginning of the new semester (spring, summer and fall) are eligible for a $500 grant.

Renewal

The Quick Start Grant is renewable on a semester-by-semester basis if continuously enrolled while funds are available.

Grant awarding will occur after the first class day of each semester for spring, summer and fall. Funding will be provided until funds are depleted. Every applicant may not receive an award.
