Governor Abbott Reappoints ET Alum to State Therapy Examiners Board
A Lion alum was recently reappointed to the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE) by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Manoranjan “Mano” Mahadeva, a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M University) with an M.B.A., was tabbed by the governor for another term, set to expire on Feb. 1, 2027. Mahadeva was first appointed to the council in 2020.
According to a press release from the Office of the Governor, the ECPTOTE is charged with protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the people of Texas by supporting the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners as they license and regulate qualified practitioners of physical therapy and occupational therapy and register facilities in which those services are provided.
Mahadeva has been served locally, statewide, and nationally. In addition to his appointment to ECPTOTE, he is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Additionally, he is a member and past president of the Plano Metro Rotary Club, past president of Plano Early Lions and former board chair of Leadership Plano.
