Campus Comes Alive With Activity on Move-In Day

Following a quiet Summer on the East Texas A&M University campus, the university welcomed more than 500 students on move-in day, August 20, 2025.

In total, 563 students moved into their on-campus residence hall throughout the day, with hundreds more coming through the weekend. Students were assisted in the move-in process by volunteers with Lion Movers, a joint program between Residential Living and Learning and the Office of Student Engagement. 170 students and 30 student organizations assisted on the initial day.
