Investing in Us offers a professional development program at no cost to East Texas A&M University faculty and staff through a series of credit-bearing, academic master classes. The program promotes a supportive environment for employees seeking to learn, grow and thrive in their careers.

Develop U: Training and Development
Training and Development is a facet of the Human Resources Department found in the Employee Services Building. The Training and Development department is in charge of creating Develop U in-person course signups, using TrainTraq to monitor and assign digital trainings, and present the New Employee Orientation training to new staff.
Texas Academic Leadership Academy (TALA)
Supported by the Texas Council of Chief Academic Officers (TCCAO), the Texas Academic Leadership Academy (TALA) is a one-year training program designed to hone higher-education leadership qualities. Work in person and online with coaches, mentors, peers, and policy makers to develop your leadership knowledge and skills across a range of topics, including higher education finance, research, accreditation, assessment and conflict resolution.

Compliance Training
Compliance training is offered to individuals responsible for oversight of the risk mitigation process through professional webinars, in-classroom training sessions, informational flyers and attendance at professional seminars and conferences (i.e., NCAA, Title IX and Clery Act).
Employee Scholarship Program
East Texas A&M University offers an Employee Scholarship to qualified faculty and staff who are registered for classes. The scholarship covers the tuition portion of course charges up to 6 credit hours per term.
