Academic Integrity:Introduction
Academic Integrity is central to the teaching and learning environment at East Texas A&M University. As students, faculty, staff and administrators, we agree to hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of academic conduct. Conduct that violates generally accepted standards of academic honesty is defined as academic misconduct. These pages provide resources and definitions to avoid academic misconduct, and how the university will manage issues of suspected academic dishonesty.
Student Code of Conduct
Although academic integrity is related to general conduct, they are managed separately at East Texas A&M. Academic Integrity and allegations of academic misconduct are managed by the Division of Academic Affairs. All other student conduct issues are managed by the Division of Student Affairs. Ethics in Research
Students involved in conducting research and/or scholarly activities at East Texas A&M University must also adhere to standards set forth in 15.99.03.R1 Ethics in Research and Scholarship.
Report an Incident of Suspected Academic Misconduct
A faculty member who suspects a student or students of academic misconduct should consult with their Department Head or immediate supervisor and complete the Academic Misconduct Reporting Form.
