At the East Texas A&M University Alumni Association, we are committed to supporting the next generation of Lions through scholarships that empower students to achieve their academic and career goals. By awarding scholarships on behalf of our alumni, we invest in the future of our university and help students turn their dreams into reality.

How to apply
To learn how to apply for scholarships, visit scholarships. If you qualify for any of the alumni-funded scholarships, you'll automatically be matched and reviewed for consideration—no separate application is needed.
Scholarships
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the University, with additional consideration for those with siblings who are alumni.
- Transfer or returning students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, while graduating high school seniors must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0, and this GPA must be maintained for spring disbursement. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 undergraduate hours or 6 graduate hours per semester
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Commerce Area Alumni Scholarship Endowment:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the University, with additional consideration given to those with siblings who are alumni.
- Transfer or returning students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, while graduating high school seniors must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Distinguished Alumni Endowment:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the University, with additional consideration for those with siblings who are alumni.
- Applicants must be fully admitted and seeking a Master's or Doctoral degree at East Texas A&M, enrolled in at least 6 graduate hours per semester, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Fifty-Year Club Endowment:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the University, with additional consideration for those with siblings who are alumni.
- Transfer or returning students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, while graduating high school seniors must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.8, and this GPA must be maintained for spring disbursement. Recipients must be classified as undergraduates and enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Gold Blazer Endowment:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the University, with additional consideration for those with siblings who are alumni.
- Applicants must currently have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least 48 undergraduate hours or 12 graduate hours at East Texas A&M. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 undergraduate hours or 6 graduate hours for the scholarship award year. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate service through involvement in university, school, community, or church activities and show leadership or contributions to extracurriculars, volunteer work, research, internships, or other experiences.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Ralph M Hall & Mary Ellen Hall Scholarship:
- Students must demonstrate financial need.
- Students must be from one of the counties considered a part of the 4th Congressional District – Collin, Cass, Marion, Rains, Rockwall, or Upshur.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Tyler/Smith County Scholarship:
- To qualify for this scholarship, students must be graduates of a Smith County, Texas, public or private school system.
- Students must be an undergraduate full-time student, in good academic standing, classified as a sophomore or above.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Greenville Alumni Scholarship:
- Provide scholarships to deserving students attending East Texas A&M from Greenville, TX.
The applicant must meet all criteria in order to be eligible for the Hopkins County Alumni Scholarship Endowment:
- Provide scholarships to deserving students attending East Texas A&M from Hopkins County.
