Chris Gage specializes in content strategy, storytelling, and digital engagement, crafting clear, compelling, and accessible communication. He focuses on transforming complex information into engaging narratives that ensure audiences connect meaningfully with key messages.
At the Lyon Center for Gamebird Research, Chris highlights groundbreaking research, innovative conservation efforts, and the center's real-world impact. His work informs and engages researchers, landowners, policymakers, and communities—elevating the center's presence and influence in gamebird research and conservation.
In his free time, Chris enjoys writing fiction, reading, and escaping on long bike rides down obscure dirt and gravel backroads.

What would you tell someone interested in gamebird research at East Texas A&M?
Get here as fast as you can! East Texas A&M is a great community for learning and growing as an academic and as a person. And, the Ted and Donna Lyon Center for Gamebird Research is the place to be for anyone passionate about conservation and wildlife management. We're constantly innovating to ensure gamebirds like quail, pheasants and waterfowl thrive for future generations of hunters while preserving our rich hunting traditions.
What do you like most about your role with the Lyon Center?
Gamebird research is vital to conservation and land management, and our students and researchers are leading the charge. I love being able to share their stories with the world. My role involves creating and curating content—stories, digital media and outreach materials—that connects with researchers, landowners, students and communities to inspire engagement and advocacy for the center's work.
