ETAMU Photography Student Featured in NASA Article on Impactful Interns

East Texas A&M University photography major Morgan Gridley was recently featured in an article on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) website highlighting her work—alongside two other interns—at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The California native is spending her second summer with NASA, having worked as a photography intern in 2025 as well. As part of her duties, Gridley photographed one of NASA's WB-57 aircraft during takeoff. The images later supported news coverage highlighting the aircraft's role in aerial imaging during the Texas floods.

According to the NASA article, Gridley also served as one of the photographers covering the Artemis III crew announcement, with some of her images appearing in news coverage of the historic milestone.

The article mentions that East Texas A&M alum Bill Stafford ('99) works as a NASA photographer and first shared the internship opportunity with the ETAMU photography program. Gridley jumped at the chance to work for NASA.

“I've always loved space and exploration, so it seemed like an incredible experience,” she said in the article.
