East Texas A&M Alumnus Named Seguin ISD Superintendent

Dr. Jack Lee, a 2020 graduate of East Texas A&M University's Ed.D. in Educational Administration program, has been named the lone finalist for superintendent of Seguin ISD.

Lee currently serves as superintendent of Bullard ISD, where he has led the 4A district since 2019. During his tenure, Bullard ISD earned an “A” rating from the state, passed a $103 million bond, restructured curriculum and introduced districtwide mental health supports. His career spans roles from band director to high school principal to district leader—all grounded in his passion for student success and educational innovation.

Lee earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in music education from UT Arlington, then earned his Ed.D. from East Texas A&M.

The university's 100% online doctoral program prepares school leaders to address real-world challenges through research-based strategies and community-focused solutions. Students have the opportunity to engage with experienced faculty who are dedicated to bridging theory and practice together. For educators seeking to make a lasting impact, the Ed.D. in Educational Administration offers a flexible, affordable path to leadership.

Trustees of Seguin ISD will vote on Lee’s appointment at a special meeting July 10. As the lone finalist, he is all but guaranteed the position. Lee’s appointment is a testament to the quality of students coming out of the College of Education and Human Services and the Department of Educational Leadership.
