Annual Research Symposium

The Annual Research Symposium (ARS) is a one-day event that showcases undergraduate and graduate student research and activities conducted at East Texas A&M. Student participants interact with faculty members across campus and present their work through either oral presentations or poster sessions. This event enables students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community to explore the depth and breadth of research conducted at East Texas A&M. It supports the university's mission to transform lives. The ARS is sponsored and organized by the Division of Research and Economic Development.

Early-Bird Registration

Early bird registration has begun! With early bird registration, approved presenters will receive:

  • Free printing of your poster, provided through the Art Department (poster presenters).
  • Free 32GB flash drive on which to download your presentation (oral presenters).

Early bird deadline: Feb. 28, 2026

Mission

The mission of the Annual Research Symposium is to recognize and celebrate student research and activities by providing a venue for students to showcase their work and to foster an environment for students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni and the community to learn about and support the research conducted at East Texas A&M.

Get Involved

All East Texas A&M undergraduate and graduate students are invited and encouraged to participate. All faculty are encouraged to facilitate students' participation and to volunteer as judges on the day of the event. The university community, alumni and sponsors are invited to attend all sessions and support student presenters.

Research Protocols

The chair for each committee will review the registration form if no research protocol is in place. If the chair determines that a research protocol was required for the research and one was not submitted, the participant will be disqualified from participating in the symposium.
