Using a tutor does not release the student from independent work. Complete and correct answers are the responsibility of the student.
Want to schedule an appointment for tutoring?
Follow these steps to schedule a tutoring appointment:
- Log into your myLEO account
- Under Apps, select Navigate Student.
- On the right side of the home page, click Get Assistance.
- Follow the instructions described in the How to Make an Appointment PDF file.
When getting your appointment set up, be sure to include your availability date, time and study preferences under “add your availability”. The location is based on what subject you are requesting.
- For tutoring in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, select: Tutoring: Science STC 110.
- For tutoring in Freshman level Accounting, History or Math, select: Tutoring: Waters 201C.
Once the appointment is set up, you will receive a confirmation email as well as a reminder email prior to the appointment. If you need help, email [email protected].
These services are free of charge.
Waters Library 201C Undergraduate Tutoring Services
Undergraduate Tutoring Services are located in the Velma K. Waters Library on the second floor in Room 201C and are available at no cost to students.
Tutoring hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. We offer a variety of subjects, and students are encouraged to check the subject availability schedule to find when tutors are available for the course they need. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected].
When requesting an appointment, please include the date, time, and subject so tutors can review materials in advance and better support your session.

Tutor.com is provided to all undergraduate students and is free of charge to enrolled undergraduate students.
If you did not receive an email, click on the link above. Your username will be your myLEO account email. Once you enter your user name, click on the “forgot password” and Tutor.com will automatically send you an email to your myLEO account with a new password. You will need to change your password once you are able to open Tutor.com.

Science tutoring: STC110
The Science Tutoring room is located in the Science Building, Room 110 (often referred to as the “JAMP” room, as it was originally funded by the Joint Admission Medical Program), and offers support from Peer Educators in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics.
This space opens at 8:00 AM, with tutoring available starting at 10:00 AM due to tutor class schedules. During the Spring 2026 semester, tutoring hours are generally Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (hours may vary) and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Students can check the posted schedule for specific availability. These services are free of charge, and students are welcome to stop by for help or schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected] with the date, time, and subject so tutors can prepare in advance.

We’re looking for great communicators, motivators, and encouragers, who can help students with different skill levels.
Core Subject Tutors
Successful candidates are dependable, punctual, and have a compatible schedule.
Supplemental Instruction Leaders
Supplemental Instruction is different than subject tutoring. Your own schedule must allow you to attend class lectures and provide 2-3 group sessions each week, as well as time for regular meetings with your instructor and the UTS Coordinator. You will promote session attendance, as well as plan and prepare for your sessions.
