Tk20 Guide: Field Supervisor
How to Access and Complete Forms
- Step 1: Login to your TK20 Account
- Your password is the same you use to login into your ETAMU account.
- Step 2: Change Role to “Field Supervisor”
- Step 4: Complete the Forms with the red flag.
- Step 5: Complete the Form. You can use the “back” button to go back to the screen in step 4 OR click on “Complete” if the form is complete OR a portion is complete. You can continue to make changes until you “submit” the binder at the end of the semester.
NOTE: Always “SAVE” !!! Do not SUBMIT until the entire binder is complete, including each
form within the binder.
How to Locate Students Work
Once you've completed steps 1-3 (above) to locate the student and review the binder please follow the steps below to locate the students work within in the binder. The students work is always located on the left-hand side of your
screen.
- Click on the tab located on the left-hand side.
- Using the Scroll located in the center/divider scroll to the bottom of the form.
- All forms located within the tab will be located at the bottom of the page.
Once a student has completed one of the forms the form name will turn BLUE. If BLUE you can click on the blue form name to review the form completed by the student.
How to Re-Open a Binder for a Student
Once you've completed steps 1-3 (above) to locate the student and review the binder please follow the steps below to re-open a submitted binder for the student.
- Click on “Due Date” Tab
- Click on “Edit Due Date” button located on the right hand side.
- Enter a new due date.
- Type the reason for re-opening the binder in the “comments” box.
- Click on the “Update” button.
How to Re-Open the Field Supervisor Binder
If you submit the binder but later want to make additions/changes to the binder you may “Revoke” the binder to re-open.
- Once you've completed steps 1-3 (above) to locate the student and review the binder please follow the steps below to re-open a submitted binder for the student
- Click on the “REVOKE” button located on the right-hand upper corner.
- Once additions/changes have been you will need to “submit” the binder again.
How to Locate Previous Semesters/Students
- Once logged in as a Field Supervisor click on the Field Experience tab.
- Click on “Previous Field Experience Assessments tab.
- Click on the drop-down menu to select the semester.
- Click on the student name.
Helpful Tips
- The red flag will disappear once you add any data to the form.
- You can select “complete” but continue to make changes within the form until you “submit” the binder at the end of the semester.
- If you are unable to locate your students in the Field Experience tab make sure you are logged in as the Field Supervisor role.
- When using Tk20 to assess your students it is very important to not open and use multiple tabs of the browser. Be sure you only have tk20 open in one browser. For example, you wouldn't want to login to Tk20 and have one student file open then later login to Tk20 in another window or device and have another student file open. When the assessor assesses two students through multiple tabs, the data entered for one student can get shifted/overwrite for the other student assessment form. It is always advisable for our clients not to open the Tk20 application in multiple tabs, as this might cause inconsistency in the data.
Where do I go in Tk20 to see if my student has submitted their Field Experience Binder?
You can find student submissions one of two ways.
Field Experience Tab>Assessments
If the Field Supervisor scrolls to the right, they will see “status.” If it is marked as “Completed,” the student has submitted, otherwise it should say “open for editing.”
Inside the Binder
By selecting one of the tabs of the binder you will see “Status” next to each artifact template. This will indicate if the artifact has been saved or submitted. The reason the status is kept here is in case there are multiple due dates for each artifact template.
