Tradition

Our official class ring is more than a symbol of achievement—it's a tribute to the legacy of the iconic Victory Bell, a cherished emblem of resilience and pride since 1886. That year, our founder, Professor William Leonidas Mayo, brought a humble cast iron farm bell to campus. Over time, it became a rallying point—used to wake students, call assemblies, and celebrate triumphs.

Every Lion begins their academic journey by touching the bell, a symbolic gesture of commitment and tradition. When they receive their official ring, they return to the bell and touch it once more—this time with their ring—connecting their journey with the generations who came before them.

This proud tradition unites Lions across time through the enduring symbol of the Victory Bell.
