TAMUC Rodeo Sending Nine to Compete at College National Finals Rodeo

Nine members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce Rodeo Team will travel to Wyoming to compete in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR), scheduled for June 11-17, 2023.
The top two men’s and women’s teams, as well as the top three finishers in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) regional standings for each event, qualify for the CNFR which has been held in Casper, Wyo. since 1999.
The A&M-Commerce men’s team finished the season ranked second in the NIRA Southern Region standings behind McNeese State University, while the women finished the season fourth in the region. Nationally, the men’s team is ranked 19th.
Last season saw an A&M-Commerce cowgirl take home the first-ever individual National Championship in the history of the program, as Bryana Lehrmann won the breakaway roping and women’s all-around competitions at the 2022 CNFR.
The following Rodeo team members will compete at this year’s CNFR event:
- Kincade Henry: Junior, majoring in Agribusiness (Mount Pleasant, Texas) – Tiedown Roping
- Cutter Carpenter: Senior, majoring in Agribusiness (Athens, Texas) – Tiedown Roping
- Trevor Kernick: Senior, majoring in Agribusiness (Big Spring, Texas) – Tiedown Roping
- Cash Robb: Sophomore, majoring in Agribusiness (Altamont, Utah) – Steer Wrestling
- Tristan Sullivan: Junior, majoring in Agribusiness (Centerville, Texas) – Team Roping
- Will Farris: Junior, majoring in Agribusiness (Centerville, Texas) – Team Roping
- Rylee George: Senior, majoring in Agribusiness (Oakdale, Calif.) – Breakaway Roping
- Addie Weil: Freshman, majoring in Animal Science Pre-Vet (Edna, Kan.) – Breakaway Roping
- Sonora Schueneman: Graduate student, majoring in Business Administration (Madisonville, Texas) – Goat Tying
