Lion Athletics’ Night of Champions Sets New Standard, Raises Over $71,000
COMMERCE – With over 200 Texas A&M University-Commerce supporters in attendance, the 2024 Night of Champions generated over $71,000 in support of student-athlete scholarships.
The casino night style event held on May 18 included photo opportunities with the Texas Rangers’ 2024 World Series Trophy, silent and live auctions, great food, and views of Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall. A highlight of the evening included each of the Lion head coaches serving as celebrity dealers.
“Growth continues to be a hallmark of Lion Athletics, and this year’s Night of Champions was no exception. We are grateful for the increasing levels of support we receive from the Lion faithful, which in turn allows us to fuel transformational experiences and educational opportunities for student-athletes,” said Director of Athletics Jim Curry. “Thank you to everyone who joined us in-person and online, as well as Atmos Energy for supporting our scholarship match and Michelob Ultra for serving as the official beverage sponsor of the event. We look forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better.”
