
Fuseini Selected as SLC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for Third Time in 2025
East Texas A&M University track and field sprinter Ibrahim Fuseini has been named the Southland Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week.
Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) had another record-setting performance at the Texas Relays in Austin. He was selected to run in the 200-meter dash invitational and finished third with a time of 20.09 seconds, which is the second-fastest time for a college athlete in the country this year.
He also was a part of the 4×200 meter relay squad that won the race with a time of 1:21.81, which is not only the fastest time in the country, but also the fastest time in the world this season and third fastest in the last two years.
Fuseini has earned his third Athlete of the Week award this year, and it is the second for the Lions during the outdoor portion of the schedule.
