Niki Pettit, director of the Blue to Gold Money Management Center (MMC) at East Texas A&M University, has been appointed to the board of the Texas Association of Collegiate Financial Education Professionals (TACFEP).

The TACFEP Board comprises financial education professionals from institutions of higher education across Texas who work to advance financial literacy initiatives for students. The board leads the organization's efforts to expand membership, provide professional development opportunities, host their annual symposium and keep members informed about federal and state regulations that impact financial literacy programs in higher education.

In Pettit's role as the director of MMC, she oversees financial wellness programs that help students build lifelong money management skills. The center provides personalized coaching, workshops, and resources focused on budgeting, saving, credit, debt management, and financial planning, helping students make informed financial decisions throughout their college careers and beyond.

Her appointment to the TACFEP Board reflects her commitment to student financial wellness and her leadership in advancing financial education both on campus and across Texas.
