ETAMU Alum Publishes Black Children’s Book on Career Choices

East Texas A&M alumna Destiny Hibbler recently published “Dear Little Brown Child, You Will Be Your Wildest Dream” to encourage Black children's career choices. This book discusses different types of careers, listed from A-Z with illustrations included.
“I just want Black kids to be inspired,” Hibbler said. “I want this book to plant a seed and know that their future is limitless.”
Hibbler grew up having career aspirations because of her mother's constant questioning about what she wanted to be when she grew up. This led her to the decision to become a lawyer. Hibbler wants this book to encourage Black youth to learn more about the extensive list of careers that they can pursue in the future.
Hibbler received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in political science from East Texas A&M University. She received her Doctor of Law from Florida A&M University.
