A&M-Commerce College of Business Hosts Private Directors Association at Dallas Site

In line with the mission of Texas A&M University-Commerce’s College of Business (COB) to ensure transformative impact and change in our community, the college hosted the Private Directors Association's (PDA) monthly networking event at the A&M-Commerce Dallas site this August.
A group of 50 senior executives serving on the boards of private and public entities across several industries, along with several of the college's faculty and staff, attended the event.
The networking reception served as a platform that encouraged collaboration and partnership within the PDA and the COB. Members of the PDA shared their insights, exchanged best practices and strengthened connections within their industry while discussing possible opportunities such as guest lectures, workshops and internships.
Scott Wheeler, interim dean of the College of Business, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting such an event.
“We are delighted to host the Private Directors Association at our Dallas location again, reaffirming our commitment to work with the Business community to develop the future leaders of Business while bridging theory and practical applications,” Wheeler said. “As our college surpasses 2,300 students for the Fall semester, we look forward to our continued collaboration with the PDA to ensure that we develop and implement innovative learning approaches that ensure the success of our students.”
The PDA continues to serve as a catalyst for productive discussions and collaborative endeavors among seasoned business leaders. Through events like this, the association plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of private company governance while strengthening ties between the academic community and the business world.
