Pledge

A pledge, also known as a promise to give, is an agreement between the donor and the University or its Affiliated Organizations where the donor promises to contribute a specified amount over a specified period of time. The duration of the pledge shall not be more than 60 months unless approved by the Gift Acceptance Committee. Pledges must be documented via hard copy or electronic form.

Non-Cash Gifts

Non-cash gifts are a meaningful and flexible way to support East Texas A&M's mission. From real estate, stocks/bonds, to in-kind and service contributions, there are many avenues that can be taken to enhance academic programs, research, and campus development. Non-cash gifts can often offer significant tax advantages for donors while making a lasting impact on the University. Whether given during your lifetime or through estate planning, these gifts help fuel innovation, expand opportunities for students, and support the long-term growth of East Texas A&M.

Real Estate

You can give multiple types of property, including residential, commercial, farm and ranch land, forest land, and oil and gas interests. Donating property—either during your lifetime or through your estate—not only provides meaningful tax advantages, but also helps open doors for new development and growth across the University.

Gifts in Kind

Gifts-in-Kind support our mission and enrich our programs. Whether it’s laboratory equipment, technology, books, software, or other tangible assets, these non-cash contributions help reduce costs, enhance learning environments, and expand the University's capabilities. By donating items that the University would otherwise need to purchase, donors make an immediate and practical impact.

Contributions of Services (pending addition to the GAP)

While the time and services provided by individuals or organizations are greatly appreciated, they are not considered charitable contributions and are not eligible for tax credit—whether offered as volunteer work or professional services.

If a donor wishes to receive tax credit, they may bill the University for the service and then make a cash donation in the same amount.
