I was drawn to the Superintendent Program at East Texas A&M University because of the easy accessibility and direct application to the job. The courses were 100% online and easily incorporated into the electives sequence of the doctoral program. 

The practicum/internship was the most beneficial part of the experience and provided me with real experiences working with both a site supervisor and field supervisor. Having opportunities to network with superintendents and lead district-level work was pivotal in my career development, in addition to my success as a student!

The professors in the Superintendent Certification Program are dedicated to preparing their students to be successful with the Texas Superintendent Exam and beyond. They work hard to help everyone reflect on their practices and grow in their knowledge, skills and leadership. They prepare students beyond the classroom through experiences such as creating facility plans, budgets, professional development and 90-day entry plans.

I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in pursuing their superintendent certificate in the future. The professors strategically incorporate experiences for highly collaborative interaction, support, and long term success!
