TAMUC Alums Lead Percussion Ensembles in International Showcase

Three Texas A&M University-Commerce alumni will direct ensembles performing at the Percussive Arts Society’s (PAS) international convention, scheduled for November 13-16, 2024 in Indianapolis, Ind. Dr. Andrew Lynge is a 2011 A&M-Commerce graduate, assistant professor of percussion and director of percussion studies at the University of Alabama. Dr. Andrew Eldridge is a 2003 graduate and assistant professor of percussion at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Chris Nadeau is a 2013 graduate and assistant adjunct professor of percussion at UTA. Both the University of Alabama and UTA were winners of the PAS International Percussion Ensemble Competition, which sees entrants from across the world submit their work for judging, with the winners earning a spot to perform at the PAS convention each fall. A&M-Commerce percussion ensembles have won this honor twice, most recently in 2023. Learn more about the convention and the Department of Music.
