Alum Awarded with Lone Star Emmy

A Texas A&M University-Commerce alum was recently honored for his work as a graphic designer with an Emmy Award from the Lone Star chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Emil Miralda, a 2021 A&M-Commerce graduate with a B.F.A. in Visual Communication, received the award as part of the production team of “At Last: Rangers World Series Parade” for WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas/Fort Worth. Miralda currently serves as a motion graphic designer for WFAA. He recently stated in an interview for the A&M-Commerce Visual Communication newsletter that he “feels like [he’s] found [his] purpose in helping to tell inspiring, informative and emotionally resonant stories.” Learn more about Visual Communication at A&M-Commerce.
