College of Business Forges Dynamic Internship Partnership with Sun & Moon Capital

On January 27, 2024, the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Commerce jointly announced a strategic collaborative partnership with Sun & Moon Capital, a distinguished micro-market buyout PE firm.
The newly launched innovative internship program is designed to offer valuable career training tailored to the curriculum tracks in the College of Business. This initiative is specially curated for current international students and recent graduates, providing them with exceptional opportunities for professional development and hands-on experience in the dynamic world of business, relying on the expertise of the leading industry professionals at Sun & Moon Capital.
“We are thrilled to partner with A&M-Commerce to create a unique internship program that bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application,” said Javar Avery, CEO of Sun & Moon Capital. “By providing students with practical experience and exposure to the world of finance, we aim to be a launch pad for international students who are eligible for off-campus employment through Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Through the internship program, students will have the opportunity to work on various projects spanning many industries. Additionally, interns will receive mentorship from experienced Sun & Moon Capital professionals. They will learn how to turn datasets into actionable insights for understanding the latest trends and technologies shaping the field of private equity.
