Celebrate our Past, Embrace our Future: An Open Letter to the ETAMU Community and Friends
Dear East Texas A&M Family and Friends,
This year's Homecoming theme, “All Roads Lead to ET,”celebrates the many paths that trace back to East Texas A&M. From U.S. House Representative Sam Rayburn to bestselling author Colleen Hoover to Super Bowl champion Harvey Martin, our alumni have made their mark in every field imaginable—and their stories all began here.
With your support and generosity, all roads will continue to lead to ET. We stand at a pivotal moment in our history. With our new name, rising enrollment, new facilities, Division I status, and expanding research activity, East Texas A&M is stronger than ever. But momentum alone is not enough. Our future depends on the power of our community—alumni, friends, faculty, staff and partners—who believe in and support our students and our university.
Every gift makes a difference. A scholarship opens a door. An internship builds a bridge. Support for our academic and athletic programs builds pride that elevates our university's name and reputation far beyond East Texas. Simply put, your engagement and gifts not only strengthen our university and region but also shape the lives of our students—future engineers, educators, nurses, scientists, entrepreneurs, and leaders—who carry the East Texas spirit into their communities.
This year's Homecoming on Saturday, October 25, is the perfect reminder that “All Roads Lead to ET.” Whether you return for the celebration, attend a regional event, help recruit or mentor a student, or give to support our students, you are investing in a future where East Texas A&M continues to thrive as our region's university.
