We remember Cheryl for her big heart, wonderful friendship, and her hard work, determination, and dedication to her students. We also remember her life of quiet grace and beauty.
Cheryl received her master’s in music education from East Texas in 1979 and her undergraduate degree in music education from Arkansas Tech University in 1976. She worked as a public school music teacher, directed church choirs, provided private voice studio work, volunteered with children’s musical theater, and sang in numerous musical groups. She was a voracious reader and worked in college and community libraries. She also trained volunteers in a Mississippi state literacy program.
