A Conversation With Tommy

What do you enjoy most about working at East Texas A&M, and why?

What I enjoy the most about working at East Texas A&M is the energy and sense of purpose that returns to campus when classes begin. Taking a moment to walk around campus and see students actively engaged in their educational goals, reconnecting, learning and showing genuine excitement about being back brings me a great deal of joy. It's a meaningful reminder of why the work we do matters and the role the University plays in shaping futures.

What's an accomplishment that you're especially proud of, and why?

I am most proud of being a husband and father. While my career has included meaningful professional accomplishments, nothing compares to the responsibility and fulfillment of supporting my family, being present, and setting a positive example for my children. Being a husband and dad has taught me patience, accountability and perspective, and it continues to shape who I am both personally and professionally.
