Matt Moore

Adjunct Instructor of Music in Percussion

Matt Moore is a percussion educator, composer, arranger, and adjudicator based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He served as Director of Percussion at Lake Highlands High School and V.R. Eaton High School, where he pushed the boundaries of the high school percussion space through innovative use of electronics, studio-quality recordings, and an emphasis on sustainable band/life balance for students and staff alike. Matt's catalog of over 30 published works through C. Alan Publications, along with numerous custom marching arrangements, has been commissioned, performed, and recorded across the country.

In addition to his music career, Matt works in software development, collaborating with teams to shape products, drive business goals, and bridge the gap between design, engineering, and end users. He holds music degrees from Campbellsville University and Texas Christian University, is an educational artist for Innovative Percussion, and an ASCAP composer. A lifelong tech nerd, Matt solo-developed Frustrating Bird Game for mobile platforms and enjoys retro gaming and home theater gear. He lives with his family in Lewisville, Texas.
